Recycle-IT! | Environmental Working Practice

At Recycle-IT! we take seriously the environmental mantra of Reduce - Reuse -Recycle! Maybe we can’t do a lot about reducing, but we come into our own in the reuse and recycling stakes. We make sure that as many of the computer systems that we receive as possible are refurbished or upgraded so that they are suitable for a continued life in education or the community sector.

Any computers that we cannot repair, or that are not suitable for repair, or any parts are sent for recycling. We work closely with a company that recovers as much of the component materials as possible. Our landfill rate after all this recycling is around 1.6% of the computer systems that we receive: the average rate in the UK among computer handlers is 6%.
